Details
The objective of the Third Module:
- The third module of the Master's Program (4 days) is a continuation of the second module with further detailed insights into the proper use of Fotona lasers in additional dental specialities that were not covered in the second module.
- The third module is designed to combine deep knowledge of various dental
laser treatment protocols with practical clinical experience.
The program for the third module:
Laser-assisted periodontics and soft-tissue surgery:
• TwinLight® periodontal treatment (non-surgical and surgical)
• Frenectomy, frenotomy
• Gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, aesthetic recontouring
• Osseous crown lengthening
• Lesions removal (including aphthae and herpes)
• Depigmentation of the gingiva
• Hemangioma and other vascular lesions therapy
Hard-tissue surgery:
• Sinus lift
• Bone surgery
Laser-assisted implantology:
• Cleaning and disinfection of implant sites
• Implant exposure
• TwinLight peri-implantitis treatment
Laser-assisted orthodontics:
• Enamel preparation for brackets
• Exposure of retained teeth
• Brackets removal (and veneer removal)

Dr Ilay Maden
Dr. Ilay Maden BDS, MSc, PhD, Perio. Spec. Dr. Ilay Maden studied dentistry and completed his PhD in periodontology at the University of Istanbul, Turkey. He also received a MSc degree in Lasers in Dentistry from Aachen University, Germany in 2007 before moving to the UK in 2016. Dr. Maden is a lecturer for the Lasers in Dentistry MSc program at the Aachen Dental Laser Centre at Sigmund-Freund University in Austria in addition to being a Faculty Expert at the Masters’ Program at the Laser and Health Academy. After practicing mainly periodontology and implantology for 15 years as an associate at several private practices in Istanbul and the UK, he has his practice in London since 2018. Dr. Maden has led hundreds of theoretical and hands-on courses teaching laser dentistry around the world and has been a speaker at numerous international congresses on lasers since 2007. He is a member of the International Society of Laser Dentistry, the British Medical Laser Association, the European Federation of Periodontology, the European Academy of Osseointegration, the Turkish Dental Association, the European Federation of Periodontology, the Turkish Periodontology Association and more.
Ilay Maden is also a certified life coach. With his experience in running his business and now MBA studies, he serves as a life and business growth coach.
